The Morningcrest Health Library serves patients, families, and members of the public visiting the Schusterman Center Clinic. We welcome all OU-Tulsa students, staff and faculty. Professional medical librarians are available to help you with health information and more detailed research. Our resources include:
BOOKS: Patients can check out books for one month or until their next appointment. Faculty, staff, and students may borrow books according to the Schusterman Library policies.
MAGAZINES: Patients may browse issues of health-related magazines in the library. We will make a copy of a health-realated article free of charge, up to 5 pages.
COMPUTERS: There are three public-use computer stations with internet access. You will be asked to produce a photo ID and sign in to use a computer. You must be over 18, or have your parent’s permission to access the internet. Patients referred by their health care provider or visitors searching for health-related information receive priority. There is no charge for printing up to 10 pages per visit.
LITERATURE SEARCH: The librarian will provide a through search of the medical literature and email the preliminary results, usually within three business days. Links to the full text of the articles are provided when available. Include a daytime phone number in case there is a question about your topic. Use the form below to begin your search.
