Babies Cry.

We all know that babies cry. They cry when they are hungry or need attention. What new parents may not realize is that babies also cry for no reason at all. They just cry. There is nothing anyone can do.  And that can be frustrating. In partnership with the Parent-Child Center of Tulsa, we are

Tulsa’s Health – Not So Good.

WOW!  I’ll start by saying that Jan Figart of the Community Service Council in Tulsa is quite the motivational speaker.  In my role as a librarian, I advocate for increased funding in public education and health care.  Now, I am ready to take on the entire state legislature and demand they look at the facts.  Tell it Jan!

Ready or Not, Here it Comes

If you heard happy shouts from the school yard this week, you know that most area students are out on summer break.  While summer is a great time for kids to relax and enjoy the sunshine, it can be stressful for working parents.  Here are some helpful resources to keep everyone fed and safe over the summer.

the C word

The world lost two legendary entertainers this week: musician David Bowie and actor Alan Rickman.  Both men died at the age of 69 from aggressive forms of cancer.  For many of us, their passing was an “oh-no” moment typically reserved for the death of family or close friends.  We took it personally. But, there was also a moment of disbelief.  Cancer.
