Babies Cry.

We all know that babies cry. They cry when they are hungry or need attention. What new parents may not realize is that babies also cry for no reason at all. They just cry. There is nothing anyone can do.  And that can be frustrating.

In partnership with the Parent-Child Center of Tulsa, we are spreading the word about “The Period of Purple Crying.”  This refers to the time in almost every infant’s life when crying is just a part of normal, everyday behavior.  The library is hosting a workshop on August 26th to educate healthcare providers and social workers about preparing parents for this stage of infant growth.  Our guest speaker is Mildred Ramsey, with the Bright Beginnings program.
