What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service that will obtain books and articles not owned by the Schusterman Library. It is available to OU students, residents, staff, and faculty.

How do I request an item?

The Schusterman Library has an ordering system called Clio. Log into Clio to submit requests for articles or books, or click the Interlibrary Loan link next to items in the Library’s catalog.

When your item arrives, we’ll notify you by email. Article PDFs can be accessed with a link from the email or by logging back into your Clio account and looking under Your Requests. Books can be picked up at the Library’s Front Desk.

How do I create an ILL account?

You don't need to create an account. Select your domain and use your OU credentials to log in.

How much does it cost?

Interlibrary Loan is a free service for OU-Tulsa students, residents, staff, and faculty.

How long will it take for my item to arrive?

Normally, article requests are filled in 1 to 3 business days. Books may take up to two weeks to arrive.

How do I renew my ILL materials?

Log into your Clio account and go to the Your Requests tab. If an item can be renewed, a blue Renew icon will appear. Click on Renew.
